STI Myanmar University Appoints Senior Faculty


Yangon – January 22, 2018: STI Myanmar University announces the induction of senior, high profile faculty members with the appointment of Dr Brian Hunt, Dr David Binnion & Mr Neel Chaurasia to its academic roster.

Dr Brian Hunt joins as Director of Academic Development & Professor, Faculty of Business and will be in charge of driving Academic Excellence at the University and take responsibility for teaching management & leadership in the MBA program. Dr Hunt brings over 37 years of academic experience of which the last 14 years was with Mahidol University, Thailand as a full time faculty including holding the position of Director of Research and Assistant Dean. During his illustrious career, Dr Hunt has held academic positions in four leading UK Universities, authored books & articles on business and management and delivered papers at academic conferences.

Dr David Binnion joins as Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Business to teach Management & HR. An expert in HR, Dr Binnion has been working in the corporate sector for over 35 years in global companies like Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Egon Zehnder & Zuellig Pharma to name a few. Since 2003 he has been running Indigo Consulting, a company he founded to specialize in strategy development and HR systems development. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to drive the management and HR practice at STI University.
Neel Chaurasia joins as Director of Marketing and Professor of Marketing, Faculty of Business to develop the marketing program for the University and teach both the BBA and MBA programs. Neel is a highly experienced business leader and marketing specialist with strong global & regional experience in running businesses and growing brands. In a career spanning 30 years, he has worked with four global advertising companies on blue chip accounts like P&G, Mead Johnson, Cadbury’s, Nissan, L’Oreal, Bridgestone, Sony, Panasonic, Hyundai, Grand Royal & Ooredoo.
