Program Overview

The B.Sc. Data Science & AI programme combines statistics, machine learning, and big data analytics with ethical AI practice. Students learn to extract insights from complex datasets, build predictive models, and communicate data-driven decisions. The curriculum includes a capstone project with industry partners, preparing graduates for roles in data science, AI engineering, and business intelligence.

Foundation in Computing or equivalent. Strong mathematics background required.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1 — Mathematics & Programming

Core mathematics, programming for data science, introduction to statistics, and databases.

Year 2 — Data Science Core

Probability and statistical modelling, machine learning fundamentals, data visualisation, and big data technologies.

Year 3 — Advanced AI & Specialisation

Deep learning, natural language processing, advanced statistical methods, and a data science project.

Year 4 — Capstone & Industry Practice

Major capstone project with industry partner, ethics in AI, and specialisation electives.
