Build foundational technical and scientific expertise with the Foundation Certificate in Engineering. Bridge high school studies to degree-level Civil and Architectural Engineering with AutoCAD, physics, and geology.
Engineering is a key area to support national development generally. The foundation certificate in Engineering program prepares the students with the fundamentals engineering science subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, construction engineering fundamentals, AutoCAD Basics, English, Geology, Practical Skills for the matriculated students who want to pursue their studies on Civil and Architectural Engineering.
The composition of this course is based upon the attributes that a student to pursue the studies at Engineering field, should ideally have:
📐Developed personal skills with both the confidence and ability to express their creativity both individually and as part of a team;
📐Gained the ability to promote a responsible, professional attitude towards the selection and use of data and skills within team based contexts;
📐Had an in-depth understanding of advanced science subjects and practical knowledge and to develop their critical awareness of technologies as applicable to international engineering industry;
📐Developed a comprehensive awareness of the foundation knowledge in the construction industry;
📐Applied comprehensively their knowledge and skills to a piece of work on engineering through scientific problems to reflect the programme being studied.
In addition to the broad aims of the course, the specific qualities built into the curriculum ensure that students will gain a systemic understanding of new development and application, and the capacity to analyse and assess for science relevant subjects and foundations for advanced engineering studies. The specific objectives of this course, therefore, are to provide students with the skills and knowledge of key subject areas that relate to sustainability at operational and tactical levels for modern science and building technologies. The course’s objectives are to equip students with:
📐the aptitude to solve problems within various settings;
📐the competence to develop concepts and apply them in pragmatic ways;
📐a perceptive insight into engineering related issues;
📐a good understanding of how the scientific subjects are applicable in solving Engineering problems
📐the aptitude to think and solve the scientific problems;
📐a good understanding of the practical skills and emerging technologies in construction.
