About Me

Dr Manivanan Saman, a CEO and Principal with a tertiary education institution , is an educationist with business acumen mindset with over 24 years of experiences in private higher education and education industry.  He has stamped credentials from a top Laureate Education group, namely INTI Education University and Colleges and its exclusive partner, University of Hertfordshire, UK. Born and raised in Seremban, Dr Manivanan started his tertiary education at St. Paul's Institution, finally completing his Doctorate at Victoria University.  He has since gone on to prove himself as a man with a passion for Education and a strong Business Acumen, garnered over the last 20 years of providing education excellence, as well as several more years of solid industrial experience.  He has served internationally - in Holland, Germany, Turkey, Australia and the UK.   Along the way, he has earned for himself a powerful record of handling international partnerships and academic development programs, working concertedly with numerous UK, European, and Australian universities throughout the years to achieve mutual goals.  Also of note are his many years of service as a National Council Member for NAPEI (National Association of Private Education Institution). Dr Manivanan took on the position of CEO of Erican College in early 2016 and has already begun to lead the college into directions never before dreamed of.  He works closely with the Steering Committee, consisting of senior staff, to ensure that every decision is vetted and agreed upon collectively, in order to avoid any potential breach of trust issues, while at the same time, working with every level of staff at the college to make sure that the team synergy is strong and positive. However, he also keeps engagement with the students of the College as a high priority. He believes strongly in student-centered learning, feeling strongly that students must be able to influence the content, activities, material as well as pace of learning of their classroom.  "Be inspirational and transform the lives of the young" is Dr Manivanan Saman's personal mantra of success.  And as every day passes he continues to do his best to education, motivate and inspire our future generation of leaders. Dr Mani has joined STI Myanmar University as Dean of Faculty of Business since August 2020.
