Science and Tech International Myanmar University (STIMU) has been standing as the most comprehensive private higher education provider in Myanmar since 2006, working in collaboration with various renowned universities across the world.
STIMU has made strides in every aspect of its development in nurturing the future generation of Myanmar and has produced well-rounded intellects in various sectors such as business, architecture, engineering, literature and health sciences.
As research being the backbone of higher education, STIMU is thriving with building up an enhancing environment for proper scientific enquiry for the students. With this, STIMU has now setup a Board that will review the research projects made by the students guiding the researchers to make the scientific investigations with integrity. This will be named as Institutional Review Board (IRB) of STIMU.
The Board members are the scientists, the scholars and well-respected members of the community to represent the public who could become the subject of a research project. The Board will oversee the research projects to be in alignment with good conduct of research.
Missions
The purpose and objects of the IRB shall be:

Education of researchers on ethics principles of the research.

Review of research proposals to scrutinize if they are in the ethical boundaries.

Make decision to accept or reject a research proposal form the ethics principle point of view and give feedback to the researcher.

Development of a research registry at STIMU.

Collaboration with the collateral Boards and organizations when necessary.
